Update on Shelley, Prayer Request and pics from Memorial Day weekend!

Hey friends...quick update on Matthew and Miller. I spoke with Shelley and she said both boys are doing really well. She is now 28 weeks and scheduled to admit this week. I know what a releif it is to make it to 28 weeks with these little miracles, but the road ahead is long and there are still many worries to pray away. So, please do keep this precious family in your prayers. Pray specifically for Dr. Gonzales (who was also my specialist) as he cares for Shelley and the boys. Also pray for no complications and for those sweet babies to grow, grow, grow and stay safe. Thank you all for your sweet thoughts and prayers for Shelley.

I have another request for prayer as well. My stepmom's little grandson, Hayden, has been having seizures and the doctors are running lots of tests and he is now on new medication. This time is very scary for our family, especially Hayden's mom, Cindy. So please keep Cindy and baby Hayden in your daily prayers. Hayden was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy about a year after he was born. He has done remarkably well with the challenges he has had to face so far. Cindy works so hard to provide the best for Hayden. She is a young momma and needs lots of prayer right now for him (and for her as well).

The Pate brood is doing well. We are all super excited about our summer. We enjoyed a beautiful Memorial Day yesterday with great friends and family. The kids are looking forward to our visit to Utah in a couple of weeks and our beach vacation as well. The girls are planned for a spend the night party tomorrow night...ALL girls, no daddy or brothers...just Mommy and 9 girls! The BEST perk this summer, so far would be the boys are now POTTY TRAINED...whoooo hoooo....I wasn't even going to attempt that nightmare until this summer, but two weeks ago they asked for 'panties' so we tried for a weekend and SUCCESS! I am so pumped. They were not hard at all to train. I had always anticipated trying to train two, and two BOYS at that, would be horrible. I was pleasantly surprised. Here is a pic of two precious bums in undies!

Here are a few pictures from our swim party yesterday.

MONO BOYS MILLER and MATTHEW

It is with great joy and desperate request for prayer that I am posting about another set of Mono-Mono boys I found out about right here in Birmingham, Alabama. There is a precious woman, Shelley, who actually teaches at the Montessori school in Oak Mt. that Ellie attended last year, who I spoke with yesterday. She is 27 weeks pregnant with Mono-Mono boys. She has a 14month old son as well. Unbelievably, she is being seen my the same specialist we received care under at Brookwood with our boys two and half years ago.

When I had the chance to talk with her yesterday, I could feel her heart through our words. It was incredible to speak with another voice who "knows exactly what mono-mono journey feels like"....I am in constant prayer for her and those beautiful little boys she is carrying in her womb....their names are MILLER and MATTHEW...PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE pray for Shelley and her Mono-Mono miracles Miller and Matthew.

Thank you blogger friends for praying with us for the health and safety of these two little miracle boys. I am going to visit Shelley in the next week or so once she is checked into the hospital for continuous monitoring. I told her that I was bringing my 'scripture wall'. And for those of you who remember that, my scripture wall held me up so many times during my hospital stay that I felt myself falling... I also believe in my heart that there might not have been the two living, breathing, perfectly healthy boys by the name of James Daniel and John David without your prayers!

Thank you for praying for MILLER and MATTHEW. I will update their progress as I hear more.
