I am super tired tonight, very exhausting day, so I will be quick. But I have been so excited to share with everyone since our visit tonight, some amazing news. BOTH BOYS HAVE BEEN OFF THEIR CPAP MACHINES ALL DAY. They are 1 week old today and are both breathing on their own right now. The doctors have told us that they are doing great, and to not be shocked if they have to go back on the CPAP machine because sometimes little bitty babies like ours get fatigued easily and just need some help every once in a while, but to be one week old, born at 30 weeks, weighing in at 2 lbs and already breathing on their own is AMAZING! I of course feel that it is just more of the testimony of the miracle God has given us all. Thank you all so much for your prayers. I know GOD is listening and is answering those prayers daily. Both boys are also starting 1cc of breast milk every 3 hours, and so far so good! PRAISE!!! PRAISE!!!PRAISE!!! I was able to hold John David tonight. There just aren't words to describe a feeling of such pure joy and immense gratitude to God for blessing me in such a special way. Holding John David felt just like holding James Daniel... Completely surreal and overwhelming thankful!
Tomorrow the boys will have their heart scans. Please be in prayer that their hearts are doing well, they tolerate their feedings, and they continue to strengthen daily in their breathing. Also on Monday, the boys will both have brain scans to check for bleeding in the brain. A very scary diagnosis in premature babies. SO I would appreciate prayer for both boys to have clear head scans. Thank you all so much for your prayers. It is such a remarkable feeling to know that other people are praying for our very premature babies.

Here is video of James Daniel. He was sound asleep AGAIN! This little man is always sleeping! He looks so peaceful.
Here is video of John David. He was stirring around when we arrived. This wild man is always moving around, even in his sleep!

Absolutely amazing! So happy you have been able to hold both of your beautiful babies. Love you- Amy
I am SO IN LOVE with those babies! You are going to have so many people who feel so very close to these little miracles. They seem a part of our everyday lives now, saying a prayer for them is just habitual when we say our prayers for Roy! I'm so happy they are doing so well....you need to relax now and rest up. Have a wonderful holiday! Love, Elisabeth and Roy
Still praying. I am an Aunt to twin boys born at 32 weeks on December 22nd almost 3 years ago today. Your video takes me back to those days. Thanks for sharing your journey.
We are praying for you & are in such awe of your little miracle boys. They are so, so precious! We couldn't resist picking up some little gifts for them today - at the Auburn store in the Galleria! Can you believe Matt spent money in the AUBURN store? You will have to tell the boys how important that is! Have a very Merry Christmas, & we will try to stay up to date with you all through the blog! We'll be thinking of you all!
